If you don’t have a roof: use ‘Community Solar’

Community Solar makes it really easy for you to become producer of renewable energy. You do not even need to have a roof to put solar panels on! Community solar systems provide power and/or financial benefits to multiple community members within a local area.

A 2008 study by the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) found that only 25% of residential rooftop area is suitable for installing photovoltaic systems.  Community solar options expand access to solar power for renters, those with shaded roofs, and those who choose not to install a residential system on their home for financial or other reasons.
